Absolutely loving these Nanatsu No Taizai cans by @godspeedbeer and @brasseriedieuduciel. @ochamebim tells me they’re Peche reimagined. An 8.8% imperial coffee lager, it is bursting with rich, dark-berry-flavoured coffee, burnt sugar, and a hint of licorice. Moderately dense and with a big smokey quality, it certainly isn’t a sessionable beer, but it also doesn’t punch with the weight of nearly 9% abv. Perfect for this grey, cool, #goodfriday. I’d be happy to just sit with this and eat some delicious chocolate, maybe the spicy variety from @chocosoltraders? But it would also go well with a big rich beef or lamb stew. Especially if you’re not too old-fashioned with your spice selections (get some cardamom and star anise in there!) Or maybe a Moroccan curry?
