Woah, where did the last week go? I was on a roll fund-raising, then last week went and just got crazy busy. But in 7 days I’m having my head shaved, let’s raise some more funds! So if you’re just joining in, I’m shaving my head as a fund-raiser for St. Baldrick’s. You can find out more here. I’m pretty excited, particularly because I’ve already raised a big chunk of my goal of $2500! Thanks so much, if you’ve already donated. Again, if you’re new around here, I’m trying to put the fun in fund-raising. I was going to try to put the beer in fundraising, but it turns out three out of four of those letters aren’t actually in the word. The point of this silliness is that through generous donations of various breweries, writers, etc, I have stuff I can give away to donors. So it’s easy. Donate at least $1 and you’re entered into that day’s draw. Donate at least $20 and you’re in the next draw too. Donate at least $100 and you’re in every draw I hold. Sound good?

So today I’m giving away some beer! And not just any beer, but some awesome beer from The Granite Brewery! And not just some, but a whole Growler! (that’s 1.89 litres for the initiated). If you win, I’ll forward your info to the crew at the Granite (Eglington and Mt Pleasant in Toronto), and you will get to head down, and pick up a growler of your choice. While you’re there, I can’t recommend enough that you ought to stay at least for a pint, if not a meal. In fact, with this current beautiful weather, you’d be committing a crime not grabbing a beer in the back garden. Personally, I would get a growler of Peculiar ale or their excellent IPA, then get a pint of cask-conditioned Best Bitter Special or three…..
