How are you? I know, Oktoberfest season is a marathon. This is the part where the pros push through, and the weekend warriors fall back. Lets kick that wall down! Mill St has a shiny new Beer Hall, and a great line-up of events for Oktoberfest next week. The perfect way to round out Oktoberfest festivities.
Brewmaster’s Dinner
On Wednesday October 16th, they will be hosting one of their beer pairing dinners, hosted by Brewmaster Joel Manning. I’ve been to one of these meals and they do a good job choosing courses/beers to elevate the tasting experience. Wednesday’s dinner will focus on German foods, get there. Tickets are $59.99, call (416)681-0338 for reservations.
Oktoberfest Party
Thursday night is when things get rowdy, and the Beer Hall will get put to it’s limits. Steins, great food, live music and heaps of people all there to cut loose. Probably book Friday off. Not only will there be new and classic Mill St beers, but they’ve invited seven other breweries to bring out beers and join in the party. Look for beers from Great Lakes, Muskoka, Lake of Bays, Flying Monkeys, Steam Whistle, Wellington and Beau’s. Tickets are $39.99 and are on sale now. Buy tickets here.
Oktoberfest Menu
On Friday and Saturday (18-19th), the menu will be an Oktoberfest themed feast. Cabbage rolls, schnitzel, wurst and more. Offered with their 16 different beers on draught, as well as their beer schnapps made on site. If splashy beer toasts and lots of excited people isn’t your game, and you’d rather have a nice meal out, this is for you. Reservations aren’t required but I always recommend them.
I’ll be at the party on Thursday night, clinking steins and zicke zakey’ing with the best of them. See you there!
