I can’t remember the last time I had a mild, but this ISO from @sawdustcitybeer ticks every box. Roasty, a little woody with whispers of black tea and McVitties plain biscuits (chocolate is for Belgians). At 3.6% this punches way above its weight, with a nice snappy English hop drying things out, and just a bit of fruitiness from the yeast. I will resist the temptation to describe this beer as moreish because I don’t want to sound like a pretentious anglophile, but I do want more and I did just use the term “Anglophile”, so maybe it’s too late? .
