Beau’s Fall Seasonal Beer Night Märzen Returns to LCBO

Beau's Night Marzen is back at the LCBO

Beau’s Night Marzen is back at the LCBO

OTTAWA – (September 2, 2014) All the bounty of harvest season has returned, and so has Night Märzen, a super-versatile, easy to pair Oktoberfest lager from Beau’s All Natural. The seasonal offering will be available in Beau’s signature 600 mL bottles at the LCBO and from the Vankleek Hill craft brewery, as well as on tap at various restaurants and pubs throughout the province.

The orangey-amber malty beer has just the right amount of hops to balance the Munich malts, and features an ultra-clean finish to complete the package. Märzen is the traditional Oktoberfest style beer, and Beau’s only regularly produced lager.

It was the release of the first batch of Night Märzen in 2008 that sparked a small harvest celebration at the brewery, which has now evolved into the Vankleek Hill Oktoberfest, an annual festival and fundraising event presented by Beau’s that attracts 12,000 festival-goers each year.  Night Märzen will be one of 13 Beau’s beers available at this year’s Oktoberfest, held October 3-4 (www.beausoktoberfest.ca).

Like all Beau’s seasonal releases, the occasion is bitter-sweet: the return of Night Märzen means the end of availability for Beau’s award-winning summer seasonal altbier Festivale. While the supplies run down, limited quantities of Festivale are still available at select LCBO stores and the brewery, as well as through Ottawa home delivery service BYBO (www.bybo.ca) – consider it the last few sips of summer.
