The Rhino Fall Beer & Cider Festival 2013

From the biggest cask beer festival in North America last week, we now hit two wonderful small/local fests.  The first is tomorrow, Sunday October 27th, and is hosted at The Rhino with Canadian Beer News (and I’m guessing the newly minted Canadian Cider News).  Personally, I’m super stoked.

A) I’ve been to the CBN/Rhino fests before and they’re well done, with great beers, but in an intimate enough setting to still feel like you’re hanging out at a bar.
B) There will be multiple Cideries present, and it seems craftbeer people are really coming around to the joys of good cider.  And to be fair, more people are making wonderful cider for us all to drink.  I’d like to think my Cider Week had something to do with this…..

So here’s the skinny:

The general event runs from 1-6pm at The Rhino.  Admission is free, you just need to buy tokens for your beer at $2 each.  There is also a VIP hour from 12-1pm, available for $25 dollars.  You get early admission, 5 sample tickets, appetizers and a souvenir glass.

To buy VIP tickets and to see the full beer list and more details, check out http://www.canadianbeernews.com/the-rhino-fall-beer-cider-festival-2013/.

The great news is, while it will be a little nippy, the weather is meant to be lovely.  Bring a warm sweater and a pair of gloves, and you’ll be well sorted. Our friends at Left Field have just informed me that the festival will be indoors, so ignore the weather, wear your finest cool brewery shirt and indulge in comfort!

The weather

I call this “Beer Fest Weather”. All weather is “Beer Fest Weather”…

And the best part, Proceeds from the Festival will be donated to Save The Rhino, an international rhino conservation charity.

Rhino

Thanks, dude.
